About the Opportunity
This is an open position FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. This position is located at the Connellsville Meter Shop, Connellsville PA.
Meter Repairman C receives instruction and training to acquire knowledge and skills necessary to perform routine duties involved in the operation of the meter shop; effectively assists higher rated employees with the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of meters; and performs other work as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to meet job knowledge and skill requirements will be determined by company interviews and tests. No prior experience is required. Position is a beginning job in the Meter Repairman Series.
- Ability to work safely and follow safety rules and regulations and meet company’s first-aid requirements.
- Ability to safely perform moderate physical work.
- Mental ability to learn and perform the duties required to clean, test and repair all types of single-phase watt-hour/watt-hour demand meters.
- Ability to prepare legible and accurate records and reports.
- Meet company standards in regard to physical fitness, personal conduct and appearance, attendance, work performance, safety practices and supervision required.
- Must be able to safely operate motor vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree Electrical/Electronic Degree or Certificate preferred.
- Must satisfy the requirements of the EEI CAST test
- Must possess valid motor vehicle operator’s license
EEI Testing
We administer selection tests for a variety of positions. The required tests have been developed by the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), a trade association of investor-owned electric utility companies.
