Senior Collector

First Western Equipment Finance has a full-time opening for a Senior Collector at the Eden Prairie location.

SENIOR COLLECTOR POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for managing assigned account delinquencies. Monitor and initiate appropriate collection activity of assigned accounts to maintain acceptable delinquency levels on daily basis. Initiate collection action in a timely and appropriate manner including the management of account placement with third party to maximize recovery and minimize expense. 

• Manage delinquency reporting in Aspire to identify past due accounts on a daily basis
• Initiate contact via phone, email or mail in a timely manner
• Use various collection methods to collect old unpaid late fee from accounts
• Monthly review with Manager; non-accrual accounts and placement of accounts with third party collection. 
• Manage third party collection of accounts 
• Update Director of Credit as necessary (Expense Control) on third party collection efforts 
• Facilitate the disposition of collateral for recovery or sale of repossessed collateral 
• Use collection methods to collect unpaid property tax accounts
• Maintain continuing education related to regulatory standards

SENIOR COLLECTOR QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years collections work experience
• Basic knowledge of equipment finance concepts (i.e. APR and time value of money)
• Experience with Repossession and Litigation processes
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Understanding of the FDCPA Act 
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• PR and time value of money)
