Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Server. As a Host/Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth dining experience for our guests.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Take food and drink orders accurately
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Ensure tables are clean and set up properly for the next guest
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Utilize POS system to process orders and payments
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate food preparation and delivery
- Provide recommendations on menu items and answer any questions from guests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for calculating bills and making change
