Position Summary
The Early Learning Specialist manages a caseload of early childhood centers, programs and/or schools to provide coaching, career advising, and professional development as needed or dictated by funding sources and program initiative goals. The position requires regional travel and the ability to work off site using technology.
Compensation: $48,250-$58,000
Key Responsibilities
-Provide individualized coaching and training to educators and leaders to improve teaching practices and program quality, using state-approved tools to assess needs and guide improvements.
·-Assist educators in supporting children’s development across all domains, including language/literacy, health/physical development, social-emotional learning, and cognitive growth.
· Support positive classroom environments, inclusive routines, and trauma-informed practices.
· Collaborate on service plans aligned with initiative benchmarks and program goals.
· Deliver professional and career development in alignment with best practices, credential attainment, cultural responsiveness, and adult learning theory.
· Model continuous growth, curiosity, and openness to feedback and innovation.
· Accurately document visits, service plans, observations, and progress using digital systems and provide timely and complete reporting to meet funder and organizational requirements,
· Uphold professional ethics and confidentiality in all communications and records.
· Represent the organization with professionalism and enthusiasm, promoting First Up services supporting our mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field (master’s preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Experience across Infant Toddler and PreK–Grade 3.
- Expertise in one or more areas: curriculum and assessment, child development, family engagement, leadership and management, career advising, social-emotional learning, trauma informed practices and program development.
- Experience working within diversity and equity initiatives.
- Familiarity with Keystone STARS, PHL PreK, PKC, Head Start, NAFCC and NAEYC Accreditation.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an ECE practitioner.
- Experience supporting children’s social and emotional development.
- Knowledge of DHS and PDE regulations for ECE programs.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with technology and virtual collaboration tools.
- Current clearances: FBI, PA Criminal Record, Child Abuse, and Mandated Reporter certification.
- Maintain PA PQAS certifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding and support of diverse perspectives, identities and experiences and eliminates bias.
- Proven ability to continually learn, grow and adapt to changing environments.
- Organization-wide mindset engaging with cross functional teams while ensuring alignment with organizational values and priorities.
