POSITION: CUSTODIAN (PERMANENT PART-TIME)

FUNCTION: General knowledge/experience in the Custodian Field, including but not limited to, floor care/floor maintenance, strip and wax, spray buffing, high speed buffing, general cleaning, preparation of rooms as needed for church and outside group events, meetings and activities, miscellaneous maintenance/upkeep functions.
WORK TYPE: Part-time (20 per week, plus additional hours as needed). Hourly. WORK HOURS: Fridays 12:30pm – 8:30pm; Saturdays as needed; Sundays 12:30pm – 8:30pm; Fill in for personnel when necessary
JOB DUTIES:
1. General Daily Duties
a) Unlock doors, disarm security system
b) Floor maintenance
c) General cleaning of rooms, sweep, mop, vacuum carpet
d) Pickup coffee setups after meetings, return to kitchen and cleanup
e) Set up of table and chairs for meetings/events
f) Take garbage cart out to dumpster
g) Secure building, set alarm system at end of day if needed
h) Other duties as requested by Supervisor, Staff or Church members
i) Minor repairs
2. Weekly Duties
a) Setup Sunday school rooms
b) Prepare worship areas: Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Chapel, etc.
c) Setup gym for activities
Must be 18 or older
3 References Required
Must pass background check and will be required to complete Safe Gatherings Certification
90 Day Probationary Period
