Job Overview
We are hiring for Sundays Only from 8:30am-12:30pm (4hrs / week). We are paying a responsible Church Nursery worker $13/hr to provide supervision for the youngest members of our church. If you are interested we are interviewing applicants this week. This job is for Sunday mornings only - all applicants must pass a criminal background check.
Church Nursery Worker, dedicated and nurturing to create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for our youngest members. Qualified and dedicated applicants will go through a screening and interview.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children in the nursery area, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development and spiritual growth
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting nursery environment in compliance with safety standards
- Follow our church's Safe Sanctuaries policy to ensure safety and quality care
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed during nursery hours
- Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to coordinate schedules and ensure smooth nursery operations
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or childcare centers
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment
- Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team coordination
- Understanding best practices for child supervision and willing to learn and implement our church's Safe Sanctuaries policy
