First United Methodist Preschool is seeking a full-time Preschool Teacher Assistant/After School Teacher.
Job Summary:
The Preschool Assistant/After School Teacher is responsible for the effective supervision of children, providing a safe, nurturing learning environment, providing direction and guidance, and exercising positive and effective communication with parents and children. The Preschool Assistant/After School Teacher will work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher and other staff members.
Duties include:
- Provide a quality of learning that is consistent with national standards.
- Provide direction and guidance to students.
- Exercise positive and effective communication skills with parents, children, and staff.
- Work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher and other staff members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom consistent with company standards.
- Attend regular staff meetings.
- Support the Lead Teacher in carrying out daily activities including meal time assistance, diaper changing, assistance with potty training, cleaning, and other duties that are related to the responsibilities listed above.
- Completion of DHS annual required trainings.
Minimum Education & Licensure Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or CDA preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience working with children preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.23 - $11.28 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 36 per week
