Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive children’s and family ministry programs that promote spiritual growth, biblical literacy, and community involvement.
- Lead volunteer recruitment, training, and management to ensure vibrant participation in youth activities, religious education classes, and special events.
- Foster strong relationships with children, youth, families, and church staff to create an inclusive environment that encourages active engagement in faith-based activities.
- Coordinate religious education curriculum planning for various age groups, integrating teachings on pastoral theology, religious studies, and Christian counseling.
- Organize family-oriented events, outreach initiatives, and mission work projects that strengthen community bonds and promote service-mindedness among young members.
- Provide mentorship and spiritual guidance to children and youth, supporting their emotional well-being through compassionate counseling and mentoring practices.
- Collaborate with church leadership to align ministry goals with the organization’s mission while actively engaging in fundraising efforts to support program sustainability.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in religious or nonprofit faith-based organizations with a focus on youth engagement in pastoral work.
- Strong leadership abilities demonstrated through volunteer management, event planning, and team coordination.
- Deep understanding of religious teaching, pastoral theology, social work principles, and Christian counseling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective outreach to families, volunteers, and community partners.
- Proven ability to develop innovative youth programs that foster spiritual growth while promoting community engagement.
- Experience in fundraising activities aimed at supporting children’s ministries or nonprofit initiatives.
- Knowledge of religious organization childcare best practices along with experience working as a clergyperson or in religious leadership roles.
