Major Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)
- Works various verification workflow queries to ensure accuracy and compliance of new accounts.
- Reviews signature card and various internal account documentation for proper authorization and accuracy.
- Compares data entered into the core system against support retained in the bank’s document image system, ensuring all changes are properly authorized by the customers or appropriate bank personnel.
- Assesses and perform various CIF and account maintenance requests received through the bank’s CRM platform.
- Provides data related to procedure and policy violations to bank personnel and Management through exception issuance.
- Validates resolved exceptions for accuracy.
- Conducts daily reviews of various CIF and account data change reports generated by the bank’s core system.
- Provides exceptional customer service through email and phone support to bank personnel with account document and exception related inquiries.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of First United Bank’s policies and procedures, as well as banking regulations and laws as it relates to consumer, fiduciary, and business accounts.
- Completes work within acceptable metric limits.
- Participates in sub-department cross-training programs.
- Serves as a trainer and mentor.
- Performs other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager.
- Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
- Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
- Dresses professionally.

Required Edcuation And Work Experience
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 1-2 years of banking or equivalent experience is required.
- New account experience is required.
- Customer service experience with a focus on phone-based interactions is preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service skills by all means of communication including written, verbal, and nonverbal with the ability to work well with a wide range of people.
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Demonstrates good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
- Dependable and adheres to timelines and schedules.
- Takes initiative in development and completion of projects.
- Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Good presentation skills and ability to train and mentor others.
- Advanced knowledge of banking regulations.
