After-School Youth Development Coach (Soccer)
Location: Programs across Daly City, Pacifica, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae & surrounding communities
Compensation: $20.00–$25.00 per coaching hour - (based on experience, qualifications and suitability for assigned programs)
Opportunity Type: Part‑Time | Youth Soccer & Enrichment Programs
Program Ages: TK–8th Grade Students
Program Schedule
After‑school programming typically runs Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–5:30 PM
Additional evening coaching opportunities may be available Monday–Friday | approximately 5:30 PM–7:30 PM
Optional Saturday morning programs may also be available (2–4 hours).
Schedule Tracks
- Track 1: Weekday Afternoons (3:00 PM–5:30 PM)
- Track 2: Weekday Evenings (approximately 5:30 PM–7:30 PM)
- Track 3: Combined Afternoon & Evening Assignments
- Track 4: Saturday Morning Programs (2–4 hours)
Coaches indicate their preferred availability when accepting coaching opportunities. Assignments are offered based on program needs and coach availability.
Additional coaching opportunities may be available across multiple program locations.

We are seeking energetic, reliable and positive icoaches who are passionate about working with children and using sport to help students build confidence, teamwork, resilience and friendships.

No Formal Coaching Experience? That’s Okay.
You do not need to be an experienced soccer coach. We are looking for reliable, positive individuals who enjoy working with children and can confidently lead fun activities.

Program orientation, curriculum resources and operational guidance are provided to support coaches in successfully delivering AYSO PLAY! programming.
What Coaches Do
Independent coaches are responsible for:
- Delivering fun and engaging soccer sessions for TK–8 students
- Creating safe, inclusive environments
- Building teamwork, confidence and resilience through sport
- Communicating professionally with school contacts, families and AYSO PLAY! representatives
- Delivering accepted assignments reliably
What We Are Looking For
- Reliability, professionalism and strong communication skills
- A genuine passion for helping children grow
- Experience working with children through schools, childcare, camps, coaching or youth programs - preferred not essential
- Ability to engage energetic student groups
- Reliable transportation to accepted coaching assignments
- Ability to complete required background screening
Coaches should live within a reasonable travelling distance of available program locations.

- Are you able to complete required onboarding/orientation and background screening before programs begin on September 8, 2026?
