This is a full-time, on-site Chief Credit Officer role located in Durant, OK. The Chief Credit Officer will oversee the bank’s credit policies and procedures, manage and monitor credit risk, and ensure the integrity of the loan portfolio. Key responsibilities include leading the credit approval and underwriting process, managing the credit team, developing strategies for portfolio management, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaboration with other departments to ensure the bank’s financial objectives and customer satisfaction are met will also be central to the role.
- Strong expertise in Credit Management and Credit Risk Management, including implementing and monitoring credit policies and mitigating financial risks.
- Proficiency in Finance and Underwriting to evaluate financial statements, assess risk, and make informed lending decisions.
- Experience in Portfolio Management, including monitoring the performance of loan portfolios and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage and mentor a credit team.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications such as CPA or CFA is preferred.
- Experience in a community banking environment is a plus.
