🔹 About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to serve as the Company’s primary legal advisor, providing comprehensive in-house legal and compliance support. This role will oversee a broad range of legal matters including employment law, contracts, litigation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

📄 Contract Management

Review, draft, and negotiate corporate contracts and agreements

👥 Employment Law & HR Support

Partner with HR on employee relations and compliance matters

Handle EEOC charges and Department of Labor requests

Support terminations, workplace policies, and regulatory compliance

Manage employment litigation, including pleadings and discovery

⚖️ Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

Manage third-party litigation and coordinate with external counsel

🏢 Corporate & Compliance

Advise on corporate governance and compliance matters

Support risk management and insurance coverage initiatives

🔹 Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Licensed to practice law in Texas (required); New Jersey preferred

5–10 years of experience in corporate law or law firm environment

Strong knowledge of employment law (state & federal)

Experience with contract review, corporate compliance, and governance

Exposure to oil, gas, or energy contracts preferred

Experience in litigation and risk management
