POSITION TITLE: Coach
POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to assist in enabling kids to build the strength of character through the game of golf.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Implement Nationally Developed curriculum to youth participants ages 5-17
- Develop and evaluate player performance
- Conduct and supervise all practices
- Provide a safe environment for all participants
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or GED Required. Previous golf experience helpful but not required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of golf foundations, ability to establish and maintain relationships with students, parents and coworkers
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to Work as part of Team, Clear communication skills, ability to coach and guide on basics of golf
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
TALKING: Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly
AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average conversations
REPETITIVE MOTION: This position requires mobility at various sites, including outdoor locations. This position requires employee to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle and reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch
FINGER DEXTERITY: The employee is required to use hands to grip
AVERAGE VISION: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Generally, outdoors with unpredictable weather conditions. This is a seasonal position with opportunities for hours in the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter seasons.
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and common fractions.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret work-related documents. Ability to communicate clearly.
