Duties
- Assist with supervising children during play, meal times, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and learning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that encourages exploration and creativity
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including administering basic first aid when necessary
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other caregivers to ensure consistent care and support
- Support behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions and emotional well-being
- Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, dressing, and potty training for infants and toddlers
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and caregiving responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively with young children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families and team members effectively
