What are the responsibilities and job description for the On Call Orthotic Technician position at First Step Prosthetics?
This is an on-call position that will be responsible for taking hospital calls to see patients in the hospital for delivery and fitting of orthotics and/or bracing. This position will alternate between one other on-call worker. This person will be taking calls every other week starting Friday at 3pm going through the week-end to the next Friday morning at 7am (hours are 5pm - 7/8 am the next morning during the week and through the entire weekend). Travel would be to local Bowling Green hospitals and surrounding counties (Barren, Logan, Allen). Training will be provided. Knowledge of orthotics / bracing (foot, ankle, knee, back, neck, etc.) would be helpful but not required. The ideal employee would be punctual, have good communication skills, maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, and have their own reliable transportation. Drug screening will be required for this position.
