First Steps Nursing and Therapy – Cibolo, TX

First Steps Nursing and Therapy is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a pediatric patient in the home setting.

Case Details

• Patient: 8-year-old female

• Care Needs: Trach, Gtube, Vent

• Schedule:

  Saturdays: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Availability: Full-time, part-time, or PRN

• Patient: 19-year-old female

• Care Needs: Gtube, Oxygen

• Schedule:

  Mondays and Tuesdays : 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  Fridays and Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Availability: Full-time, part-time, or PRN

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to assigned patient

• Assess patient condition and document observations

• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies

• Monitor and manage GJ tube and oxygen needs

• Perform vital signs and ongoing assessments

• Communicate changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician

• Educate and support family members and caregivers

• Complete accurate and timely documentation in EMR system

Requirements

• Active Texas RN or LVN license (unencumbered)

• Current CPR certification

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, transfers)

• Pediatric experience preferred but not required

• Training provided (in-office and on-site)

Working Conditions

• Provide care in the patient’s home environment

• Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases

• Ability to work flexible schedules and respond to patient needs

• May require travel within local service area

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress environment

• Strong attention to detail and ability to make timely decisions
