Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices for infants and toddlers
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, concerns, and developmental milestones
- Support early childhood education initiatives by facilitating educational games, storytelling, and developmental assessments
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that complies with health standards and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR to respond effectively to emergencies involving children( First Step Learning Center will provide)
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Strong classroom experience with toddlers and infants; ability to adapt activities for different age groups
- Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment
