Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education and development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional growth
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and potty training for infants and toddlers
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities
- Organize educational games, arts and crafts projects, outdoor play, and other enriching experiences to foster creativity and learning
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response to emergencies
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities or special needs
- Excellent behavior management skills to guide positive social interactions
- Ability to implement classroom activities that promote learning through play and exploration
- Compassionate caregiving approach with excellent communication skills for engaging with children and families
