Salary: $21.00Job Title: Front Desk Client Support Associate (CSA) Program: North A Street Campus Reports To: CSA Supervisor or Campus DirectorFLSA Status: Non-Exempt Revision Date: November 2025Shift: Saturday and Sunday1pm-9pm Summary:Workingas part of a team, CSAs willmonitorand direct the clientsinall areas of the campus. They will be assigned to the front desk and basic cleaningmaintenance, butwill becross-trainedwith the campus monitor and maintenance staff. CSAsare responsible forkeeping safetywatch,dayand night, and performing conflict resolution should issues arise. The North A Street Campus has a shelter building for singleadults 18 and over and aservicesbuilding where we run a sanitation program, computer lab, and case management. The front desk staff will work primarily in the services building. All FSC sites have opportunities for overtime hours and advancement if a staff member is interested.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:includethe following. Specific duties may vary based on the shift.Other duties may be assigned.Greet clients and professional partners as they enter the lobby.Monitor andfacilitatethe transition of guests from the lobby to casemanagerappointments,meetingsand/or groups.Answer the phone, takemessagesand direct callers toappropriate resources/information.Keep safety watch during shift andutilizeconflict resolution should issues requiring intervention arise.Assistguests when needed and provide information for local resources.Track data for cell phone charging and bathroom usage.Input data into spreadsheets and file paperwork.Create flyers and memos. Maintain our resourceboard.Performs facility cleaning and organizing.Call 911 or Alpha One when needed and remain calm during emergencies.Escalate to Managements attention any observed or suspected abuse and/or neglect of children, disabled individuals, dependentadultsand elder/senior citizens.Help clients deposit and collect cell phones for charge.Regular, predictable attendance isrequired.Ability to get along and work effectively with others.Ability to use a computer, internet, andmicrosoftoffice.Ability to usea walkietalkie radio.Ability to remain flexibletotemporary assignments that fulfill staffing needs.Supervisory Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory duties.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read andcomprehendsimple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills:Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and tomultipleand divide with 10s and 100s.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully,an individual should have knowledge of a computer or tablet andaccompanyingapplications and software. Knowledge of basic office equipment shouldinclude:Internet and email, copy and fax machines, and telephone.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:A current CA drivers license and proof of auto insurance arerequired.CPR, First Aid, and NARCAN certification preferred.Working Conditions:Ability to work indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions. This position requires you toworkweekends and holidays.Other Position Requirements:A background check isrequired.If a past client of FSC or similar support organization, must have last needed support/housing services at least 12 months ago and cannot work in the same facility they received services.Other Skills and Abilities:Understanding ofthe homeless population and their unique needs.Strong verbal communication and listening skills.Ability to exercise extreme patience.Must be comfortable working with people and flexible in unpredictable environments.Ability to think quickly and respond calmly to stressful/emergency situations.Ability to conduct effective bag checks from clients.Ability tomaintaina high levelof confidentialityPhysical and Emotional Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
