Construction Cost Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. You will play a critical role in budgeting, bidding, and planning, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and budget.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates (labor, materials, equipment, time, etc.)
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and vendors to obtain necessary information
• Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing for all construction divisions
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
• Create detailed and organized bid packages and participate in the bidding process
• Review and update estimates as project details evolve or change
• Provide support during contract negotiations and project execution phases

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (3 years preferred) as a cost estimator in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market pricing
• Proficient in estimation software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with commercial or high-rise construction projects
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
