What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ministry Music Coordinator position at First Southern Baptist Church?

We do help with Relocation Assistance!Our church is looking for someone to lead congregational music on Sunday and lead all of the aspects of music preparation for Sunday Morning. That would include song selection and leading rehearsal time for the current volunteers. The other aspect of the position would include working with our students, middle and high school age, to lead in discipleship and weekly Bible studies. That would include planning and leading volunteers that work with our youth. Our church averages about 180 in Sunday Morning attendance.Responsibilities/DutiesThis is a full time ministry position.Ministry is rarely limited to 40 hours a week.Ministry also allows other times to be away from work.Sunday is considered a work day so a day off during the week is granted.Most weekdays(Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri) will be time spent in the office around administration and planning for Sunday, other times of rehearsal and events.QualificationsBachelor’s degree Preferred but not requiredMust have a background in music performance or leadershipFormal education or self-taught musician is acceptablePrefer Tech experience in regards to the presentation aspect for congregational singing such as ProPresenter or EZWorshipMust Feel comfortable working with teenagers.The church is willing to help with further formal education as well.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
