- As an internship company, we allow flexibility to enroll in classes while working as an intern, if it doesn’t interfere with the essential functions of the position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Applied Statistics, Computer Science preferred.
- First Solar encourages all interns to register their internship with their university.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and advanced analytics tools.
- Working knowledge of AI and Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, embeddings, prompt design, and retrieval ‑ augmented generation (RAG) for analytical and decision ‑ support use cases
- Strong experience with data visualization and storytelling tools.
- Working knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Comfort working in cloud and enterprise data environments (e.g., Azure, data warehouses, APIs, ERP/SCM systems).
- Develop and deploy analytical, optimization, and machine ‑ learning models to support supply chain planning, execution, and optimization.
- Apply AI and LLM ‑ enabled techniques to accelerate insight generation, scenario analysis, and decision support
- Quantify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Automate data ingestion, transformation, analysis, and reporting from enterprise systems
- Translate analytical outputs into executive-ready insights.
- Contribute to digital transformation and continuous improvement programs by embedding analytics and AI into day ‑ to ‑ day decision ‑ making.
- Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.
- $18.00-$30.00 hourly.
