Job Title: Engineering Manager – Manufacturing Operations
Location: Weatherford, OK
Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000 per year
Overview:
We are working with a well-established manufacturing company to fill a key Engineering Manager role at their Weatherford, OK facility. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on process optimization, team development, and driving plant performance in a film coating and extrusion environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 6–8 process engineers in a continuous manufacturing setting
- Drive improvements in product quality, yield, throughput, and cost-efficiency
- Serve as the plant’s technical lead for film coating and extrusion processes
- Manage capital projects and recommend upgrades to support business goals
- Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and Five Whys
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and train personnel on procedures
- Implement Lean Manufacturing practices such as 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping
- Support process scale-up and development of new applications
- Provide coaching and development to the engineering team
- Minimal travel required (up to 10%)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in film coating, resin extrusion, or continuous process manufacturing
- Working knowledge of coating systems and equipment
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and PFMEA
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent design software
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
