Description
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to information technology systems (hardware and software). Responds to incidents, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solutions.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
- Walk internal customers through problem-solving process.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
- Follow up with internal customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
- Troubleshoot ATM networking and connectivity.
- Maintaining wireless networks.
- Gather and review monthly proactive monitoring reports.
- Assist and train staff on various technology (hardware / software) used throughout the organization.
- Schedule, perform and document business continuity plan (BCP) tests for technology.
- Visit branch locations to maintain networking equipment and consult with staff.
- Replace workstations per annual replacement strategy.
- Backup IT System Administrator regarding but not limited to: Management of mobile devices and management of printers and toner reporting.
- Ordering supplies and computer equipment per management.
- Record information pertinent to problem solving processes for knowledgebase.
- Develop documentation of solutions and various procedures.
- Professional Interaction with various external vendors and support resources.
- Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to the job function.
- Carries out other duties as may be assigned or requested.
Requirements
- 1 year prior related work experience in technology field required; 3 years preferred.
- Associate’s degree in technology or related required. Bachelor’s degree in technology or related preferred. Education can be substituted for technical certifications and/or years of experience.
- Knowledge of information technology networks, hardware/software systems, and peripherals required.
- Work experience in the financial services industry or other heavily regulated industry preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN problems preferred.
- Knowledge of maintaining mobile devices and wireless networks preferred.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with ability to train preferred.
- Ability to interact with customers and vendors and provide exceptional service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Requires some local travel using own transportation as needed.
