Introduction
First Response Restoration is a full-service water mitigation and restoration company and general contractor capable of taking on emergency response services, offering a range of home improvement services (including plumbing, electrical, repair and renovation), located in Hurricane, West Virginia. First Response Restoration prides itself on its quick and sympathetic response, the quality of its work, and the satisfaction of its customers. First Response Restoration is a small business run in, by, and for West Virginians, serving the Huntington-Charleston metropolitan corridor and surrounding counties.

Job Summary
Were looking for a responsible and multi-talented individual to head up our shop! The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong work ethic, self-motivated, organized, and as comfortable picking up a wrench as tapping figures into a spreadsheet. The Shop Manager oversees the First Response Restoration vehicle fleet, providing basic maintenance and arranging for inspection and repairs, including hauling and delivery in company vehicles, and yearly inspection and recertification. The Shop Manager also keeps track of equipment inventory and servicing, checks in and out equipment from work crews, and maintains a clean and organized shop.

Responsibilities:

• Manages First Response vehicle fleet, including minor repairs, parts ordering, regular maintenance and checks
• Schedules and undertakes inspections and certifications for vehicles in fleet
• Manages and maneuvers fleet vehicles, make hauls, deliver and retrieve vehicles from job sites
• Keeps First Response auto bay clean, organized, and stocked
• Develops and maintains an inventory and tracking system for fleet vehicles
• Keeps First Response unpacking garage clean, organized, and stocked
• Keeps equipment, materials, and tools functional, organized, and inventoried in company work vans
• Performs occasional building maintenance tasks as needed
  
  

Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor (lifting and moving equipment, organizing, shelving)
• Some experience with vehicle maintenance and repair
• Familiarity with contemporary computers, applications, and office software, including spreadsheets and inventory management software
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Independently motivated and proactive
• CDL license a plus, but First Response will also sponsor training and certification
  
  

Physical Demands
The physical demands for this job are significant, and may involve:

• Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling, sometimes for extended periods of time
• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, or stairs, and operating at heights
• Must be able to lift loads of up to 50lbs safely and regularly
• May be called upon to lift or carry heavy loads with partners, assistance, or assistants
• Holding, hefting, safely using, and transporting tools, job materials, and job equipment at job sites
• Work tasks may require overhead reaching or bending and stooping and reaching
• Job tasks and work may be performed outdoors and in varying weather conditions

Work Location & Environment
The Shop Manager schedule is 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. During periods of high demand and activity, the Shop Manager may be required to work overtime. The Shop Manager will report directly to the Owner and will clock in on site at the Hurricane headquarters of the company on Route 60. Employees are expected to have reliable transportation to and from work, and will travel within company vehicles to job sites. Employees must maintain a clean driving record and abide by all laws and regulations, and company vehicle policies.
