RECERTIFICATION SPECIALIST:
First Resource Management Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Recertification Specialist to join our team at our Springfield, MA location. The Recertification Specialist is responsible for the recertification process at the property and is required to know about all aspects of recertification program compliance, and resident relations.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete recertifications/interim recertifications accurately and within an established time frame
- Prepare and supply tenant’s with required annual certification notice(s) and information packets to update all income, asset, expenses and household composition as required by lease
- Interview tenants and document family composition, income, assets, deductions and other information as required
- Collect all current and third-party verifications to support information supplied during interview
- Coordinate and prepare annual lease renewals and income certifications
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by your Supervisor/Regional Manager or other Senior Staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Affordable Housing, LIHTC, Federal, State and Local Housing regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc)
- Strong math skills and attention to detail required
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required
- Time management skills and ability to prioritize a must
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
