First Priority Group is a diversified manufacturer, dealer, upfitter and service provider of emergency and specialty vehicles seeking a Production Supervisor to support our customers at our Forestville, Maryland facility.
Summary
First Priority Group (FPG) is seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead the production floor at our Forestville, Maryland facility. This position is responsible for overseeing production, personnel, quality, safety, scheduling and operational performance. The Production Supervisor will provide strong leadership to the production team while ensuring vehicles are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and in accordance with FPG's quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate is a highly organized leader with experience managing a manufacturing, automotive, vehicle upfitting, fabrication, or similar production environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring efficient and productive workflow.
· Lead and oversee a team responsible for the upfitting, production, and servicing of emergency and specialty vehicles.
· Train and develop team members to accurately follow detailed installation, assembly and production instructions.
· Ensure production vehicles are completed on time and meet customer specifications.
· Effectively allocate personnel, equipment, materials and other resources to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
· Maintain an active presence on the production floor, monitoring workflow, addressing challenges, and supporting the team as needed.
Qualifications:
· 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, automotive, vehicle upfitting, fabrication, fleet or a related production environment.
· Previous experience in a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leadership role strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated experience managing production employees and multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow management, quality control, and process improvement.
· Ability to read and understand technical drawings, vehicle specifications, work orders, and production documentation.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automotive or specialty vehicle systems preferred.
· Experience with vehicle electrical systems, fabrication, welding, cabinetry, emergency vehicle equipment, or specialty vehicle manufacturing is a plus.
· Strong leadership and employee-management skills with the ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive working environment.
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
