Job Overview:
First Priority Group is seeking an Epicor Specialist to join our team. The Epicor AI Specialist serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for Epicor systems, responsible for the implementation, customization, optimization, and support of Epicor ERP across the organization. This role bridges technical expertise with Business Process Understanding to ensure Epicor is leveraged to its full potential. This is a hybrid position and requires the ability to occassionally travel to our locations in New Jersey and Maryland.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. System Implementation & Configuration
- Lead deployment and upgrades of Epicor ERP modules (e.g., Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain).
- Configure workflows, dashboards, BAQs, BPMs, and data directives.
- Customize Epicor functionalities to meet business needs.
2. AI Driven Process Optimization
- Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement using Epicor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies.
- Configure and maintain Epicor modules related to Job Management, Production Control, and WIP tracking.
- Use AI to enhance routing, labor reporting, material issuance, and job costing processes.
- Ensure real-time visibility into WIP status across work centers and production lines.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to align Epicor workflows with actual shop floor practices
- Integrate AI tools with Epicor to automate routine tasks (e.g., demand forecasting, inventory optimization).
3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Epicor-related issues.
- Resolve system errors, configuration problems, and performance bottlenecks using AI diagnostic tools
- Maintain documentation for AI models, data pipelines, and System configurations
- Support Epicor upgrades, patches, and module enhancements.
4. Training & Documentation
- Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users and department leads.
- Create SOPs, training guides, and documentation for AI workflows and dashboards.
5. Project Management
- Gather business requirements and translate them into Epicor solutions.
- Manage ERP and AI-related projects from planning to execution.
- Coordinate with external vendors and consultants when needed.
6. Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure Epicor configurations align with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Promote ERP best practices across departments. Translate operational requirements into Epicor solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Work closely with production, planning, finance, and IT teams to ensure Epicor supports business goals.
7. Dashboard & Reporting Development
- Design and build intelligent dashboards using Epicor tools (e.g., BAQs, SSRS, BPMs, and Epicor Data Discovery)
- Integrate AI-powered that provide insights into production performance, job status, inventory levels, and efficiency metrics.
- Automate reporting for KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, scrap rates, and on-time delivery.
- Train users on dashboard usage and interpretation to support data-driven decision-making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Data Science, or related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Epicor modules such as Manufacturing, Inventory, Finance, and CRM.
- Proficiency in SQL, SSRS, Epicor customization tools, and AI platforms (e.g., Azure ML, Python, TensorFlow).
- Experience in integrating AI/ML models into ERP workflows
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Epicor certifications
- Experience with Epicor Kinetic or cloud-based deployments.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Knowledge of data engineering, ETL pipelines, and AI model lifecycle management.
