What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Engineer position at First Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach, FL?
Key Responsibilities
- Perform live audio mixing for both in-house worship services and livestream broadcasts.
- Manage stage monitor mixes, including floor wedges and in-ear monitors (IEMs).
- Set up and tear down audio equipment, microphones, stands, and lighting as needed.
- Provide audio support for a variety of worship settings and performers, including vocalists, bands, choirs, and organists.
- Troubleshoot common audio issues, maintain equipment, organize cables, manage wireless microphone batteries, and communicate equipment repair or replacement needs.
- Learn and follow the church’s audio equipment, worship formats, and livestream workflow to support consistent, high-quality worship experiences.
- Collaborate with worship leaders, musicians, and church staff to ensure smooth and reliable audio production during services.
Additional Opportunities (Optional)
Additional paid opportunities may be available for holiday services, funerals, weddings, and occasional rehearsals. These engagements are scheduled separately from regular Sunday responsibilities.
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 per week
