Job Summary
We are a dynamic and growing church in the Heart of Naples with the Love of God in Naples, FL and we invite you to be a part of our caring and welcoming childcare team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children by providing a safe and loving environment for young children while their parents or guardians participate in worship services, educational programs, and other church functions. We are looking for compassionate, dependable individuals who enjoy working with children and want to share God's love through kindness, patience, and care.
This is a part-time position, primarily on Sunday mornings for approximately two hours, with additional opportunities for Friday evening programming, special holiday services, and other church events.
Qualifications and Skills
Must be 18 years old. At least two years of experience as a childcare provider is preferred. Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification is required. (Certification costs will be paid by the church.) Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs., be able to sit, kneel, bend, and get down to a child's level for play and care. Must be dependable, reliable, patient, and compassionate. Must have the ability to work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, safe, nurturing care for children during Sunday worship services, Friday evening programming (once a month, if needed), and other church events as assigned.
- Follow all church childcare policies, safety procedures, and check-in/check-out practices.
- Lead age-appropriate activities, including play, crafts, stories, and simple faith-based lessons.
- Share God’s love with children through compassionate care and positive interactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming childcare environment.
- Complete required attendance, incident, and other childcare forms accurately and promptly.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents, guardians, church staff, and fellow childcare team members.
- Assist with childcare during special services and holiday events as needed.
- Participate in required training and team meetings.
