We strive to be a encouraging and equipping community for those growing in faith. Our committed volunteers are deeply invested in loving and serving the church body.
We are seeking a part-time (15-20hrs a week) Administrative Assistant to execute on tasks and community development with our Lead Pastor and Elders. The church is in a season of growth as we find new ways to engage our community and develop/expand our existing ministries. The position entails Sunday mornings 9a.m. - 12:30p.m. (1-2x a month) and at least 3 days throughout the week. Additionally, a week night or a Saturday for special celebrations or services up to 8x's a year.
The right person will be equipped to help us with the following:
Communications
- Use Canva to create weekly social media content, mailers, and quarterly e-newsletters
- Post sermon recordings as podcasts and reels on social media
- Coordinate volunteers for Sunday morning and other events
- Network with local pastors, worship leaders, ministries, and nonprofits - to help source guest speakers and identify opportunities for collaboration and community service
Administrative
- Work with pastor and worship leader to compile and edit Sunday Morning worship guides | bulletins and print for Sunday morning services
- Replenish hospitality supplies for the church storage cabinets as needed
- Manage email inbox with professionalism and maturity
- Maintain church directory
Events
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor, Elder Council, other staff, and volunteers to book event space, work with vendors, and coordinate special events
- Identify opportunities to engage the local community when possible
- Host fellowship hour following service 1x a month
- Serve in child care Sunday mornings 1x a month
Requirements
- Administrative experience and strong writing skills
- Comfort using (or learning to use) a variety of platforms (e.g., Google Drive, spreadsheets, Canva, social media, website maintenance, etc.)
- Familiarity with the Jerome area and consistent transportation
- Background check/fingerprints
