Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Children’s Ministries to lead and inspire our vibrant children’s program. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children and families that promote growth through fellowship, fun, and faith development.
- Plan and implement Vacation Bible School annually.
- Prepare and administer a budget for children’s ministry.
- Provide direction, supervision and scheduling of Nursery Staff
- Maintain the physical appearance and hygiene of equipment as required by OSHA
- Maintain a registration file on each child, updated annually in August.
- Maintain compliance with First Presbyterian Church of Eustis’ safety and security policies.
- Provide monthly reports for the session and attend Christian Education meetings.
- Prepare a weekly children’s moment that highlights the lesson for that day
- Planning and implementing fundraising events (ie: chili cookoff, bingo)
- Plan and implement the Fall Festival annually.
- Plan and implement the Easter Egg hunt annually.
- Recruit volunteers to continue building our Splash Kids team
- Create weekly segue updates showing highlights of the program
- Provide an annual report
- Coordinate with other worship leaders from all services to encourage children to participate in worship, i.e. singing, reading scripture, call to worship, etc.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide volunteers and staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills for engaging children, parents, volunteers, and church members
- Experience in teaching or educational settings with a focus on working with children
Qualifications
· 3 years’ experience in Children’s Christian Education of elementary education
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Flexibility and creativity in a changing environment
