Duties
- Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum plans tailored to infants and preschool-aged children, incorporating literacy education, and physical education, where applicable.
- Provide attentive infant care by monitoring health, safety, and emotional well-being throughout the day.
- Manage classroom activities to promote positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies.
- Engage children in hands-on learning experiences that support childhood development milestones and early intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives.
- Maintain organized classroom space, and work side by side with co-teacher to provide structured daily schedules for infants in your care.
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in daycare/preschool setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that promote social-emotional growth and cognitive development.
- Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques to create a safe learning environment.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is preferred. Must pass a state mandated fingerprint background check to obtain a letter of suitability, and provide 121 immunization records.
- Mandatory 15 cont. education hours per year.
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
