Primary Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Translate large raw data sets into easy-to-understand visual representations that display facts, patterns, and other relevant information and may include dashboards, reports, charts, graphs, infographics, or visual presentations.
- Conduct in-depth evaluations of credit card operational activities for opportunities to improve overall general business operations.
- Interpret links between data being pulled and the impact on the department and/or overall business, providing actionable insights.
- Monitor calculated metrics and assess their accuracy to ensure reliable data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrate intermediate understanding of data structures, and query and interpret data to enhance business functions, and modify or write complex SQL queries for Power BI reporting or analytics.
- Compile application, statistical portfolio, and performance data from multiple sources to provide detailed management insights.
- Communicate effectively with various business areas to determine reporting needs and business requirements, aligning them with the long-term and short-term goals of the business.
- Present relevant insights to management clearly, driving informed decision-making.
- Intermediate proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance, preferred.
- Business Intelligence Platform, i.e. Power BI or equivalent (Tableau) experience, preferred.
- Advanced PC skills, including intermediate proficiency with Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization including colleagues.
- Attention to detail, analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field (i.e. Business), or 2 years of practical business experience in financial services with consumer finance, preferred.
