Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely for tasks such as floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to restore surfaces and enhance appearance.
- Operate cleaning equipment like floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and vacuum cleaners efficiently to achieve optimal results.
- Conduct detailed floor care procedures including stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing to maintain flooring integrity.
- Manage chemical agent handling with proper safety protocols to ensure environmental safety and compliance.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies or equipment as needed for efficient workflow.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or environmental services settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals responsibly with understanding of safety procedures related to chemical agents.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools.
