Position Title: Facilities Coordinator
Classification: Non-Exempt
POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for maintaining and inspecting lease space, open property, buildings, equipment, utilities, furnishings, and grounds. Assumes direct responsibility for maintenance and landscaping of assigned areas. Performs preventative maintenance, makes minor repairs, and supervises, directs, and assists outside service personnel and vendors as needed. Reports major repair and maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of assigned facility maintenance functions.
Operates building equipment and utilities systems to maintain proper heat, cooling, power, water, plumbing, etc., at all times. Assists outside service representatives in checking, maintaining, and repairing building equipment.
Reviews scheduled cleaning work completed by outside janitorial service. Checks vacuuming, dusting, window washing, etc.
Performs and arranges scheduled preventative cleaning and maintenance. Completes inspections and tests, and maintains logs and records reflecting results.
Performs minor building and furniture modifications or repairs involving carpentry, painting, wiring, and overhauling.
Provides assistance and direction on outside service and repair work. Follows-up on work reviews and ensures that outside services are efficiently completed.
Checks landscaping needs and completes sprinkling system repairs as necessary.
Provides emergency, 24 hours on call service as required.
Completes assigned maintenance functions.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with Credit Union personnel, management, vendors, and service providers.
Assists Credit Union personnel as needed.
Keeps management informed of area activities, any significant problems or maintenance concerns.
Attends and participates in meetings as required. Completes required records and reports.
Assists vendors and service providers as needed.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
Performs miscellaneous and specially requested tasks.
Assists in set-up of new Branches.
Completes assigned night Branch visits to check lighting and security.
Completes assigned training.

Buildings and equipment are clean, in good repair, and well maintained.
Preventative maintenance and repairs are effectively performed in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Maintenance needs and problems are promptly identified and resolved or reported.
Maintenance functions are well coordinated with individual department operations. Assistance is provided as needed.
Management is appropriately informed of area activities.
Outside service personnel are optimally utilized and assisted as needed.
Comply with the Information Security Policy and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Ideally High school graduate or equivalent
Driver’s License
Bondable
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of janitorial equipment and maintenance procedures
Basic understanding of blueprints and the operation of electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling and plumbing equipment
Experience Required:
Previous maintenance experience
Skills/Abilities:
Good mechanical and problem-solving abilities
Well organized and able to work well independently
Able to coordinate well with others and professionally assist members as needed
Attentive to detail
Able to operate drills, electrical tools, welder, meters, timers, hand tools, snowplow, salt/sand spreader truck, and all related machinery.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Worker is subject to changing inside and/or outside temperatures which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees).
Works both inside and outside. Subject to weather.
Must work under hazardous conditions including high places, chemical exposures, electrical current, moving machinery, exposure to blood, etc.
Frequent local travel.
MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out but uninvolved and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
Mathematics Ability: Ability to perform math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; to perform the four basic arithmetic operations with money; to perform operations with units such as inch, foot, and yard; ounce and pound (or their metric counterparts).
Language Ability: Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5-6,000 words; to read at a rate; define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation. Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation, and using adjectives and adverbs. Ability to communicate in complex sentences; using normal word order with present and past tenses; using a good vocabulary.
