We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals by performing both administrative and clinical tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care, medical procedures, and office management in order to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed (if certified).
- Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and prepare them for processing.
- Manage patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure a clean, safe clinical environment.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution or Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting or a related healthcare field preferred.
Bilingual preferred English/Spanish.
