Responsible for supporting the Bank's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance Management functions, with approximately 60% of time dedicated to BSA-related responsibilities and 40% dedicated to compliance support. Under general supervision, assists with alert reviews in BAM , account reviews, customer due diligence support, SAR and CTR preparation, compliance monitoring activities, and the preparation of Audit Committee, Board, and Management reporting. Expected to deliver customer service as outlined in our customer pledge and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

BSA / AML Monitoring & Investigations
• Review and work alerts generated through BAM and other monitoring tools, research account activity, document findings, and escalate unusual or suspicious activity as appropriate. 
• Conduct customer and account reviews to identify unusual activity patterns, inconsistencies, high-risk relationships, and items requiring additional investigation. 
• Aid in the preparation, documentation, and filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), including maintaining complete supporting files and follow-up documentation. 
• Aid in the preparation, review, and filing of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. 
• Assist with customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence reviews, including periodic reviews of higher-risk customers, entities, and account types.
• Support OFAC and other watchlist review processes, including research and documentation of potential matches or escalations. 
• Maintain accurate BSA case files, logs, and supporting documentation in accordance with policy and record retention requirements.

Compliance Monitoring & Reporting
• Assist with compliance reviews and monitoring activities to evaluate adherence to consumer protection laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
• Help gather, organize, and review information needed for compliance testing, internal reviews, examinations, and audits. 
• Track compliance review findings, exceptions, and corrective action items; assist with follow-up to support timely remediation. 
• Support review and maintenance of regulatory notices, disclosures, complaint or issue tracking logs, and assigned monitoring schedules to help ensure required updates are completed. 
• Assist with deposit compliance monitoring, including review support for account documentation, disclosures, error-resolution trends, and customer complaint patterns. 
• Assist with review support for marketing materials, deposit changes, and implementation items to help confirm required disclosures and notices are updated when assigned. 
• Aid in the preparation and review of Audit Committee, Board, and Management reports related to BSA, compliance, audit, and risk activities. 

Other Duties
• Assist with updates to policies, procedures, and department tracking tools as directed. 
• Provide support for training materials, meeting preparation, and special projects related to BSA, compliance, audit, and risk management. 
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the Bank's compliance and risk management functions. 

Qualifications

Required
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML requirements, including alert monitoring, suspicious activity review, SARs, CTRs, and customer/account review processes.
• Basic understanding of consumer compliance monitoring and regulatory review processes.
• Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document research and summarize findings clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain accurate records, and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• General understanding of community bank products, services, operations, and customer relationships.

Preferred
• Prior experience in BSA/AML, compliance, deposit operations, branch operations, audit, or related community banking functions.
• Experience using BAM or similar BSA monitoring software.
• Familiarity with OFAC, customer due diligence, and higher-risk account review processes.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• Relevant banking coursework, certification, or formal training in BSA/AML or compliance.


WORK HOURS: 8 am to 5 pm
