A Day in the Life of a Vice President, Information Technology
As the Vice President of Information Technology, you will lead the development and execution of the annual IT strategic plan in partnership with the CIO, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals. Your role combines overseeing day-to-day IT operations-including infrastructure, applications, data, and user support-with driving major technology initiatives that enhance efficiency and innovation.
You will manage large, complex projects, balancing scope, cost, timelines, and quality while maintaining acceptable risk levels. A key part of your role involves strengthening cybersecurity defenses, developing robust business continuity plans, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as PCI, SOX, HIPAA, CCPA, and GDPR.
Responsibilities:
- Define an annual information technology strategic plan consistent with the overall strategic plan of the CIO and organization
- Lead the execution of strategic technology initiatives, as well as manage the day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, data, and user support functions
- Manage planning and implementation of large, complex projects/programs to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost, and quality
- Develop and maintain a sound business continuity plan for hosted and on-premise infrastructure and applications
- Continuously enhance our overall cybersecurity defenses and risk mitigation capabilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including PCI, SOX, HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, and others
- Foster innovation, business partnership, and timely delivery of IT initiatives across the Company
- Collaborate with the technology team and other departments and branches to achieve global objectives
- Oversee department finances, including budgeting and forecasting
- Ability to lead the execution of strategic technology initiatives, as well as manage the day-to-day IT operations
Education and Experience:
- 10 years of management experience with ERP, Business Intelligence, Financial, Sales, and Field Service Systems
- 10 years of leadership experience in the management of a technology department or division with a midsize company or larger, with increasing responsibility and number of direct reports
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- Relevant experience in the construction or field service industry, preferred

Salary : $190,000 - $210,000
