Accounting Office Manager

Position Summary

Responsible for the overall Arthur Accounting office activities for accounting and tax preparation services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates overall activities for the accounting office.
• Provides client business and accounting services; accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, monthly financial analysis and reporting, fixed asset management.
• Provides income tax preparation for individuals, businesses, and owners.
• Trains and assists office staff as needed.
• Maintains professional and community relations to increase First Neighbor's visibility and new business opportunities.
• Complies with all bank policies and procedures and federal and state laws and regulations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
• Certifications: CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred
• 3 years combined accounting and supervisory experience
• Strong foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proficient in standard accounting and ERP software; QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics
• Proficient in Microsoft suite, including highly proficient in Excel
• Ability to supervise accounting staff, manage personnel, and delegate daily tasks
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential financial data with strict discretion.
• Customer service with oral and written communication skills
• Ability to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities
