Position Summary
Responsible for the overall Arthur Accounting office activities for accounting and tax preparation services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates overall activities for the accounting office.
- Provides client business and accounting services; accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, monthly financial analysis and reporting, fixed asset management.
- Provides income tax preparation for individuals, businesses, and owners.
- Trains and assists office staff as needed.
- Maintains professional and community relations to increase First Neighbor's visibility and new business opportunities.
- Complies with all bank policies and procedures and federal and state laws and regulations.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
- Certifications: CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred
- 3 years combined accounting and supervisory experience
- Strong foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proficient in standard accounting and ERP software; QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics
- Proficient in Microsoft suite, including highly proficient in Excel
- Ability to supervise accounting staff, manage personnel, and delegate daily tasks
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential financial data with strict discretion.
- Customer service with oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities
