Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve overall well-being through evidence-based practices and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and treatment planning protocols.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
- Document patient care accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) system, eClinical Works, following medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient assessment, and research initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children, youth, and individuals with developmental disabilities, depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
- Strong background in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, social work practices, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and trauma-focused therapy.
- Experience providing crisis intervention and managing behavioral health issues in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and familiarity with EMR/EHR platforms.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders or complex mental health needs across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
