Duties

• Perform meat processing using specialized equipment such as meat slicing machines, knives, and other butchery tools, ensuring precise cuts and presentation.
• Prepare and trim meats according to established recipes and quality standards, including slicing, trimming, and portioning per customer requests.
• Operate meat processing machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination.
• Package meats carefully for retail display or customer take-home, maintaining visual appeal and freshness.
• Conduct visual inspections for quality control, ensuring all products meet safety standards and are free from spoilage or defects.
• Manage perishable goods by monitoring expiration dates, proper storage temperatures, and inventory levels to minimize waste.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection, answering questions about meat cuts, and offering culinary suggestions.

Location: Belvidere Fiesta Market
Schedule: Full-Time
Minimum Pay: $20.00/hr

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Must be 18 or older
• Able to stand for full shifts and able to lift up to 50lbs
• Comfortable working in cold environments
• Reliable, hard-working, and eager to learn

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Prepare a variety of meats for sale
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
• Stock, rotate, and label meat displays and packaged products
• Follow food safety protocols and proper meat handling standards
