Description
Function: Supervises personnel and operations of a branch. Accepts responsibility for daily branch operations and serves as a back-up for the Branch Manager, if needed. Originate and grant consumer loans within specified lending authorities. Works in a team environment demonstrating enthusiasm, a positive outlook and a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality. Work with the Branch Manager to establish branch goals and hold staff accountable. Participate in business development and community outreach activities.
Duties:
· Provides management oversight and direction to branch personnel:
· Assigns work schedules, oversees workflow, and provides ongoing support to positions supervised
· Fosters cross training and professional growth of staff
· Assesses performance and provide feedback to staff via a formal review process and a periodic coaching program
· Responsible for daily operations of a branch banking office:
· Implements Bank policies and procedures in the areas of cash handling, physical security, information security, and deposit account administration
· Conducts branch operations in compliance with Federal banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act
· Conduct self-audits to monitor adherence to Bank policies and government regulations
· Participates in business development and community outreach activities
· Represents the Bank at community functions and bank-sponsored events
· Assists Branch Manager and other branch lending personnel with calling efforts as needed.
· Performs duties as a Bank loan officer
· Maintains current lending and industry knowledge through professional reading and education
· Provides counsel and information on banking and financial matters to customers
· Determines customer needs through consultative discussions;
· Explains and sell bank products to meet customer needs; refer to other departments as appropriate and
· Provides notary and signature guarantee services for Bank customers.
· Works in the Saturday Officer rotation and may work in the branch as a Banking Consultant on as needed basis.
· Other Duties as assigned
Requirements
Education, Training and Experience:
- College degree desirable, particularly in areas of business administration, finance or accounting; or equivalent combination of other course and work experience including experience as a Banking Associate or other equivalent position.
- Prior supervisory experience helpful.

Physical Demands:
· Must have the ability to read/see documents and PC screens, to communicate in person and via the telephone, and to use a PC extensively.
· The ability to speak, see, hear and write is integral to the position. Requires the use of eyes, hands, and fingers, at the same time, to operate an adding machine, calculator, and/or personal computer.
· Primarily sedentary work which involves sitting most of the time.
· Must be able to move to all areas of the branch to assist where needed as well as to travel to meet customers.
· Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
Environmental Conditions:
Inside: protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Some outside travel required to attend meetings and visit customers.
