What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at First National Bank Texas?
* Assist in the month/quarterly/year end closing
* Prepare journal entries (month/quarter end and allocations), data/statistical analysis, monthly report preparation, and budget participation
* Assist in the FLASH reporting
* Gather and prepare monthly Board Reports for First National Bank Texas and Fort Hood National Bank
* Responsible for preparing, analyzing, and processing all aspects of Capital Expenditures and depreciation/amortization for all Companies
* Responsible for preparing journal entries, producing reports, and analysis related to Student Loans for both banks
* Prepare monthly reconcilements for all Companies
* Prepare rebills for intercompany entries and assist in posting when needed
* Analysis and research of individual accounts and outstanding items at all company levels
* Assist the Senior Accountant and Assistant Manager in configuring and testing new software to comply with new Accounting Standards.
* Work with other departments as needed to accomplish job functions
* Required to work in different software applications(Horizon, Acquire, Hyperion, Prologue/FISERV, Concur/SAP, and LeaseQuery)
* Participate in the annual external audit
* Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting
* Prepare managerial and ad hoc reports as needed
* Prepare Property renditions and Property taxes for 300 branches
* Assist the General Ledger department as needed
* Assist the Central Travel Desk in reviewing expense reports for approval
* Travel as needed to meet business needs
* Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for extended periods of time
* Constantly operate a computer and other office machinery
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
