This role is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, guiding applicants through the loan process, and recommending appropriate mortgage products that align with customer goals and financial profiles. Qualifications
- Experience as a Loan Officer or in a comparable lending role, with a strong understanding of residential loan origination.
- Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with underwriting principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting teams.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear, respectful, and accessible manner.
- Proficiency with loan origination systems, basic financial analysis, and documentation review.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with customers and referral partners.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Preferred: Previous banking or mortgage lending experience; applicable state licensing or registration (such as NMLS) as required by law.
