Loan Officer

First National Bank of Nokomis is looking for a Loan Officer to work at our Nokomis branch. The hours would be Monday-Friday 8-4 and every other Saturday 8-Noon.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develops, manages, and grows loans.
• Maintains low loan delinquency and ensures that there are no administrative past due loans. Communicates timely and in a comprehensive manner with their supervisor concerning any credit that is experiencing stress.
• Solicits new customers and negotiates rates and loan terms (for both new and renewal loans) in a competitive and price sensitive environment.
• Analyzes customer credit applications; balance sheets and profit and loss statement; and cash flow projections to make sound loan decisions and predict future repayment capacity. Make recommendations to the loan committee on new and renewal loans.
• Coordinate with loan processors and underwriters to facilitate the loan approval process
• Maintain knowledge of current lending guidelines and regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process, addressing any questions or concerns that may arise
• Participates as a member of various Bank committees as assigned.
• Represents the Bank and provides leadership in key community activities and committees.
• Completed required training associated with job function.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• Associates Degree or 2 years related job experience is required
• NMLS Number is a plus
• Notary license is a plus

Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of Company’s products and services
• Analytical skills to conduct loan analysis and maintain loan progress in consideration of market trends, credit/interest rates, economic conditions, and other factors.
• High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers and potential customers in a professional manner.
• Adequate knowledge of both internal policies and procedures and the respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of individual job duties within the proper control environment.

Salary Disclaimer:

The salary range provided represents the anticipated starting pay for this position. Individual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, role requirements and responsibilities, related experience, education, qualifications, and internal equity.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
