What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Operations Specialist II position at First National Bank of Michigan?
Position Summary:
Ensure accurate and timely operations of the Bank’s loan processes to include but not limited to due diligence, loan document preparation, post-closing activities including loan funding, file maintenance. Acts as a resource in responding to inquiries and resolving problems for Loan Officers. Proactively identifies issues or needed changes, recommends resolution, and participates in quality improvement efforts.
Customer-Focus
Provides exceptional customer service internally and external and leads by example. Ensures all procedures are implemented and being followed.
Business Operations
- Preparation of commercial loan documentation
- Review of due diligence items - UCC lien searches, flood determination, title work, entity documents, evidence of insurance, etc.
- Book new loans, renewals, and modifications.
- Post payments, draws and principal reductions
- Process loan payoffs
- Loan account research
- Scan loan files
- Post-Closing loan review
- Document exception tracking/reporting
- Maintenance loans loan records within the Core
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Specifications:
Education & Experience
- Three years of loan operations experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- High School degree or GED required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Be able to deal with a variety of variables and to interpret written or oral instructions
- Work independently and under time deadlines
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate equipment, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to talk and hear; frequently required to stand and walk
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, and crawl.
- Occasionally required to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
