Job description:
First Merchant Payment Systems (FMPS) is looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team! If you enjoy helping customers, solving technical issues, and learning new technology, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Details
- Starting Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Chatham, MA
- Full-Time Position
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and remote support.
- Troubleshoot payment processing equipment and POS systems.
- Assist with payroll support and merchant account inquiries.
- Set up and configure payment terminals and software.
- Work with customers to resolve technical issues quickly and professionally.
- Create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Participate in occasional large POS installations and on-site service visits.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with online marketing, social media, or digital advertising is a plus.
- Experience working with websites is a plus (WordPress experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new software and technology quickly.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
