Dr. Barry Landfield is a family medicine physician with a long-established solo practice in Greenbrae, CA. The practice is known for its high-quality, relationship-based care, serving a panel of approximately 500 adult patients. With a typical daily schedule of 12–15 patients, the clinic operates with a small, friendly team: a nurse assistant, an office manager, and the physician.

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team on a temporary basis. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients and support day-to-day front office operations to ensure smooth clinic workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients in-person and by phone with warmth and professionalism
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using the practice’s electronic system
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and route communications to appropriate staff
- Maintain and update patient records, intake forms, and demographics
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance and collect co-payments
- Assist with incoming and outgoing correspondence, including lab reports and referrals
- Liaise with the nurse assistant and office manager to ensure efficient flow of patients
- Maintain cleanliness and order of the front desk and waiting area
- Protect patient privacy and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical office, clinic, or customer service setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Comfort working in a small, collaborative environment with direct patient contact
- Familiarity with medical office software, phone systems, and scheduling tools a plus
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and professionalism
- CPR certification or medical assistant coursework a plus (but not required)
