Overview
First Look Home Inspection is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and customer-focused Home Inspector to join our team. In this role, you’ll evaluate residential properties—typically during real estate transactions—to identify safety concerns, structural issues, and repair needs.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of building construction and systems. However, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong potential and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough home inspections of residential properties, including structures, systems, and components.
- Strong computer, Mac or PC, skills.
- Document findings with clear photos and well-written, easy-to-understand reports.
- Communicate inspection results effectively to clients and real estate agents.
- Stay current with Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire home inspection standards and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection records.
- Climb ladders and safely access roofs, attics, and crawlspaces when appropriate.
- Work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, etc.).
- Represent the company with professionalism and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid MA and/or NH home inspector license in good standing.
- Strong writing, photography, and computer skills (report writing software experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of modern home systems, construction methods, and inspection standards.
- Ability to analyze data and present findings clearly and professionally.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance.
- Must be able to pass background checks and screenings.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Home inspector license or associate license (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
